Robert Lee Thomas Jr., affectionately known as Bobby, passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 70 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born on February 24, 1955, in Casper, Wyoming, Bobby's life was marked by kindness, simplicity, and a profound affection for family and friends.

Bobby graduated from Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1974. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, and throughout his life, he maintained a deep appreciation for the military experience that allowed him to visit 45 different states as a member of a military family.

He is remembered not only for his gentle demeanor but also for his passions and hobbies. Bobby had a special love for cats and dogs, and his home was always filled with their companionship. An avid reader, he found great joy in sci-fi novels and took pleasure in putting together model cars. He enjoyed the rhythms of 60's music and classic country, often sharing his good singing voice with loved ones. He was known for his simple pleasures, which included his love for cigarettes, coffee, soda, cheeseburgers, and snacks. He spent his childhood as an altar boy in the Catholic Church.

Bobby had a knack for bringing joy to those around him; he was always one to greet farewells with a smile, and his expressive eyes conveyed a truthfulness that was rare and genuine. Memories of hanging out at the Lux farm in Texas, visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Thomas in Casper, and cherished trips to Yellowstone will forever remain close to the hearts of those who loved him.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Adeline M. Thomas; brother, Lawrence E. Thomas II; sister, Diana L. Neil (Larry); cousin, Susie Klopfenstein (Dave); niece, Kristiana Belveal (Gary); and nephews Justin Thomas, Jason Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas (Gretchen), and nieces Amber Thomas, Ashley Clarke (Dusty), and Kimberly Eilmann (Blake) and several grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Thomas Sr., and his grandparents Alvin and Gladys Lux, and Lawrence and Verna Thomas.

A visitation will be held on May 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home located at 2222 Russell Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001. A Mass will follow on May 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Cathedral, 100 W 21st St, Cheyenne, WY 82001, concluding at 10:00 AM.
