IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott Reed
Peregoy
June 3, 1952 – March 20, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Reed Peregoy, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who passed on March 20, 2026, at the age of 73, after navigating the challenges of a leg injury that spanned over three decades, many surgeries, and ultimately leading to amputation below the knee.
Born on June 3, 1952, in Alhambra, California, Scott was the son of Charles Forrester Peregoy and Lila Rae (Cannon) Peregoy. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Steven F. Peregoy. He is survived by his brother, Kirk T. Peregoy, and Lisa Peregoy Vickers, both of southern California, and nephews and nieces, Jennifer Guzman, Andrew Peregoy, Kiel Vickers, and Kaitlin Vickers Hughes.
Scott spent his formative years in Southern California, where he and his family embarked on frequent camping trips to the beaches and forests, stretching from Canada to Baja. He enjoyed surfing and snorkeling along the Pacific Coastline.
He later relocated to Colorado, where he discovered a new found passion for horses making several packing/camping trips into the quiet splendor of the Colorado wilderness.
Professionally, Scott used his artful talent to become an architectural draftsman and building designer.
Scott’s ashes will be scattered at a future date this summer in Peregoy Meadows in Yosemite National Park.
As we celebrate Scott’s life, we pray he rests in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the natural world he so dearly loved.
