Stephen Karajanis of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming, surrounded by his loving family.

Stephen was born on December 25, 1935, in Rapid City, South Dakota, alongside his twin sister, to Elifile and Christ Karajanis. He married Shirley Crespin on July 1, 1963, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and dedication.

Stephen worked for the State of Wyoming in the Traffic Control Department, where he served diligently for many years. He was raised in the Greek Orthodox Church and remained deeply devoted to his faith, serving the Lord in many capacities throughout his life.

He will be remembered as a loving and humble husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Stephen is survived by his four children: Kay (Tom) Vasile, John (Tracie) Karajanis, Pete (Trena) Karajanis, and Chris (Jackie) Karajanis; his twin sister, Angie Galeotos; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Shirley; his granddaughter, Karrissa Karajanis; and his brother, John Karajanis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home, with the Trisagion Service beginning at 6:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Holy Apostles Orthodox Christian Church, with interment to follow at Beth El Cemetery.
