Thomas Edward Mohren, born on March 28, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey, brought joy and laughter into this world until he left us on March 22, 2024, just shy of celebrating his 76th birthday. Tom, known as the eighth of nine children to Jean (Maude) and Herman Mohren.
Tom embarked on an adventurous journey with the Air Force. His travels not only broadened his horizons but also enriched his life with diverse experiences.
In a sweet twist of fate, Tom married Katherine Sue Mclaughlin on January 15th, 1972, and started their lifelong adventure together. Their nest in New Jersey welcomed three loving sons: John Trevor, Sean Richard (Robyn), and Robert James (Cyndi), before setting roots in Pine Bluffs in 1982.
Tom's legacy extends to his beloved grandsons: John Thomas (J.T.), James Ryan, and Joseph Duane (Joey), who brought him immeasurable joy and endless sporting adventures in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. A dedicated servant of his community, Tom was Chief of Police and a member of the Pine Bluffs Town Council and District 5 Fire Board.
When not protecting and serving, Tom found solace in collecting coins, camping, or chasing elk in the great outdoors.
Tom now joins his beloved wife, Kathy, and his departed loved ones, including his parents and brothers, Gary and Joseph, in eternal peace. Yet, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his sisters, Jean (Jim) Dunlap (NC), Louise Salemme, JoAnn (Miles), both of FL and brothers, Richard, Louis and Carl Mohren all of NJ, as well as in the cherished memories shared with close friends, many nieces and nephews, Terry and Lorna Bruns, their son Corey and Kaycee Bruns, of WY and Pete and Pat Schaeffer (ND).
As we bid farewell to Tom, let us remember him not with tears, but with laughter, for his life was a beautiful melody of love, laughter, and enduring friendships that will resonate through the ages.
