TOKA Steve Crowson's Obituary

The One Known as Steve, affectionately known as Toka Steve, was born on May 27, 2010, on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. He filled his years with boundless love and energy until his passing on April 27, 2016, in Riverton, Wyoming, at the age of five. Steve was not just a pet; he was a cherished member of the family, and his playful spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Steve's career as a stay-at-home dog was one he embraced wholeheartedly. Every day was an opportunity for adventure in his world. He loved to run out the door, pausing only for a moment at the edge of the yard for one last glance back, before taking off like a bolt of lightning through the neighborhood, eager to explore and find friends. It was during these escapades that he would often visit the neighbor's house, hoping to coax their dogs into play. His playful nature was infectious and brought joy to his surroundings.

Although Steve was a dog who never attended Obedience School, he certainly had his own ideas about making sure everyone felt loved and secure. His loving demeanor made him a protector of the children; he took it upon himself to guard them against imagined ghosts, always standing watch with unwavering loyalty. He was a constant presence, especially found snuggled up next to the kids while they enjoyed video games. His love for squeaky toys provided endless entertainment, filling the home with his joyful sounds.

Steve will be remembered not only for his mischievous adventures and playful antics but also for the love and warmth he brought into so many lives. Cushing's Disease took him from us far too soon, but he leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with laughter, companionship, and boundless affection. His spirit will forever be a part of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Steve, let us cherish the memories of his playful nature and loving heart. His legacy will continue to bring smiles and warmth to our hearts, a gentle reminder of the joy that a furry friend can bring into our lives.
