Tyrus Moquai Kidd

We celebrate the life of Tyrus Moquai Kidd who passed through life to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Tyrus was born on March 2, 1970 to Sampson and Phyllis Ann Kidd in Shreveport, Louisiana, both preceded him in death.

Tyrus graduated from Bossier High School in 1988. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette Louisiana on May 14, 1994.

He was raised in the church and received Christ as his personal savior while in High School. He served as a Junior Deacon at Antioch Revival Center under the late Revered Leroy Sweeney.

Tyrus served in the Louisiana National Guard and the United States Army, upon honorable discharge, he relocated to Anchorage, Alaska.

Tyrus past employments included Federal Express, US Customs and Border Protection, Halliburton and Enable Midstream Partners as a plant operator.

Tyrus was a hard worker, he loved his children and a good provider for his kids. He made sure everything was in place for them where they did not have to worry about anything.

Tyrus met and married Aline Shimi in 1998, to this union, they had one son Yigal Kidd and one daughter, Yeshara Kidd.

Tyrus recommitted himself to the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory, his two children, Yigal and Yeshura Kidd; one sister, Ursula Denise (George) Romero of Dallas, Texas; and a host of uncles, aunts, great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, other dear relatives and friends.
