Viola Louise (Flynn) Friedman passed away on March 4th, 2026, in Cheyenne, WY at the age of 86. Born on September 8th, 1939, in Oxford, NE to Raymond and Rachel (Vinson) Flynn.
Louise attened school in Oxford graduating in 1957. After graduation she worked for the CA Swanson plant until it closed. She moved to Fremont, NE to work at the Campbell Soup Plant for 33 years doing various jobs while she was employed there. She retired in 1990. She then worked for Holiday Lodge as a desk clerk and driver transporting railroad workers to and from Holiday Lodge to the train depot. Shortly after she became a secretary and agent for Allsate insurance in Fremont. In 2001, Louise moved to Cheyenne, WY.
Louise was an avid fan of Nebraska Football and the Colorado Avalanche hockey team. She was fond of Dr. Petter, iced tea, Little Debbie Nutty Buddies, Milky Way candy bars and Geri's homemade Date cookies.
Louise loved phone calls from family and friends, feeding the ducks at Lyons Park, watching MASH, old westerns, British comedies, Nebraska Football and Avalanche hockey on TV and reading.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl Flynn, sister Virginia, Brother-in-law Carl Eman, and son-in-law Christopher Detsch. She is survived by her daughter Lori Friedman, granddaughter Angelina Detsch, and great grandson Christopher McArthur from Greeley, CO. Nieces Geri (Terry) Amen, Oxford, NE, Carla (David) Bienhoff, Ottawa, KS. Nephews Glenn (Rose) Eman, Pensacola, FL and Virgil Eman, Oxford, NE. Also, many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at Oxford Cemetery.
