William Metz

William "Bill" R. Metz, 86, of Cheyenne passed away July 22, 2017 in Cheyenne. He was born October 25, 1930 in Douglas, WY to Walter and Gladys Metz. He married Helen Roe on February 8, 1952 in Douglas. He was in the construction industry and served in the US Army. He was a fearless man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing and inventing things, playing cards and watching od westerns. He is survived by his son, Craig Metz of Cheyenne, son-in-la Bill O'Brien of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Ashley Metz, Dakota Metz, Brook Metz and Brittany O'Brien; great-grandchildren, Christian, Addison, Blaize, Cade and Alexis; and a brother, Fred Metz of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings, Helen Ivestor, Nellie Foster, Florence Septer, Walter Metz and Betty Pavelka. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
