Bill Bird, 73, passed away on February 5, 2020. He was born February 26, 1946 and raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
He served in the Army’s 25th Infantry Division from 1967 through 1969 in Vietnam. He met his wife, Liz, in California and they married in March 1970. Bill and Liz settled in Boulder County where they established a family and several businesses.
Passionate about the western way of life, he achieved his dream of becoming a rancher. Most of all he enjoyed traveling and being with his family. Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved museums.
Bill is survived by three children, Michele (Bill) Bird, Christina (Matt) Groth and Billy (Falon) Bird; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Anna, Zoe, Fiona and Remy; and sister, Louise (Don) Miller.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the CFD Old West Museum or a charity of choice.
