Dale Sandberg

March 5, 1946 — June 27, 2020

On Saturday, June 27, 2020, Dale Sandberg, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Dale grew up north of Burns, Wyoming, the youngest of seven children born to Earnest and Eunice Sandberg.  He is survived by his wife, Pat of 49 years; son, Alvia Sandberg of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Gena (Tim) Struna of Loveland, CO; three grandchildren, Brady Smith, Bridger Rodriguez, and Brynley Rodriguez; two sisters, Darlene Palmer of Wheatland/Rock River, WY and Sharon Hahn of Grover, CO; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Hauer of Cheyenne, WY, Nancy Sandberg of Albin, WY and Velma Sandberg of Cheyenne, WY;  plus many nieces and nephews.

Dale had faith in the grace of God through Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  He had a strong and constant love and care for his wife and family.  He had an amazing memory and love for extended family and friends and was always more than happy to share stories (especially if he thought they would make you laugh).   He was also very patriotic and held a strong and steadfast love for his country.

Dale was a very devoted farmer and rancher.  He raised organic winter wheat and oil sunflowers, and maintained a continual cow/calf operation.  He loved both farming and raising cattle.  Dale was also an auctioneer for close to 50 years, doing farm, household, business liquidations, consignment, estate, and benefit auctions.

Dale was a member of the Air Force National Guard for six years, a member of Fire District #6 Fire Board for many years, and served on the FEC Co-Op board.  Dale was a member of the Golden Prairie Baptist Church and the Happy Jack Community Church.

Dale loved to joke, laugh, and visit with other people.  He was an avid reader and cut many articles, poems, and cartoons from magazines and newspapers and kept them to read to other people or re-read himself.  Dale also loved gospel and cowboy music.

Dale will be greatly missed!

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6th at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
